Greece has announced a plan to extend the reduced VAT rate of 6% to e-books and publications.
Permanent reduced VAT rates
Greece has announced the permanent reduced VAT rates for the islands of Leros, Chios, Kos, Samos and Lesbos for the length of time that asylum seekers structures are in operation on those islands.
From 1 July 2021, the VAT rates have been reduced by 30% and from now the reduction will not need to be renewed every 6 months.
August 2021 VAT Changes in Portugal
The standard VAT rate in the Azores has been reduced from 18% to 16%.
This change came into effect from 1 July 2021.
The VAT rates in the Azores from 1 July 2021 will be:
- 4%
- 9%
- 16%
