July 2021 VAT Changes in Lithuania

The Lithuanian government has announced a reduction in VAT from 21% to 9% from 1 July 2021 to 31 December 2022.

The below are some of the services that are included in this reduced VAT rate are:

  • Art and cultural establishments;
  • Cinemas;
  • Sport events;
  • Gyms;
  • Personal trainers;
  • Performance services (singers, musician, dancers and actors etc);
  • Catering and cafes; and
  • Restaurants and take away food providers.

Alcohol is not included in this VAT reduction.

July 2021 VAT Changes in Indonesia

The Indonesian government is proposing an increase the general VAT rate from 10% to 12%.

This increase in VAT is due to come into effect in 2022.
