Patrícia Mendonça

VAT Compliance Specialist | Scenic – Luxury Cruises & Tours

Over the past 13 years, I have worked mainly with European VAT across different industries and business environments. I have seen compliance evolve significantly, from a largely reporting-focused activity to one that is increasingly driven by technology and data. This shift has made cross-functional collaboration more important than ever.

Throughout my career, I have been involved in a range of transformation projects, including tax engine implementations, ERP transformations, and, more recently, supporting preparations for VAT in the Digital Age.

I believe regulatory change creates opportunities to review and rethink existing processes, improve ways of working, and drive efficiency. Working with teams across tax, finance, and technology allows for the exchange of different perspectives and experiences, helping to find practical solutions that support both compliance and business needs.
