The Danish Statistics website has published its updated guidance documents and Intrastat thresholds for 2023.

The following changes have been outlined:

  • Thresholds for Intrastat:
    • Intrastat Arrivals: threshold increased to 22,000,000 DKK
    • Intrastat Dispatches: threshold increased to 11,000,000 DKK
  • A window in the thresholds allowing an even more simplified reporting of Intrastat Dispatches:
    • If a company has an annual sum of Arrivals below 22,000,000 DKK and an annual sum of Dispatches between 11,000,000 DKK and 16,500,000 DKK, they can only report three items in the Intrastat declarations. These are:
      • Partner CountryInvoice Value
      • Partner VAT ID

The companies which fall in this category are called “Export Group 2”, as per the Danish Statistics Website.

It should be noted that if a company from Export Group 2 exceeds 16,500,000 DKK in Dispatches or reaches the 22,000,000 DKK in Arrivals, they will be transferred into the group that has to report all of the elements of the Intrastat Dispatches Form.
